Each box includes three things - two sensors, a bluetooth transmitter, transmitter stickers and Limbo patches.

  1. The Freestyle Libre Glucose sensor continuously measures your blood glucose with a tiny filament that sits in the top of your arm. One sensor lasts for two weeks and is fully waterproof, so you'll be able to bathe, shower and swim with it on.

  2. The waterproof Bluetooth transmitter will sit on top of your sensor to send continuous data to your Limbo app.

  3. Use a patch to cover your sensor and transmitter to protect the equipment from dirt and knocks.

Step 1: Charge transmitter overnight

Transmitter

This waterproof Bluetooth transmitter will sit on top of your sensor to connect to your Limbo app.

Charge overnight before you begin the set up process. The charging cable is included and it is advised to connect to a main plug outlet when charging. It will display a green light once fully charged.

Step 2: Apply a sensor to clean skin

Note: the video applies a 'Libre 2', but it's exactly the same technique as the Libre sensor you have.

Step 3: Activate sensor

SCAN

To connect the sensor, go into your Limbo app and select connecting the Libre option.

To scan the sensor, hold the very top of your iPhone to the sensor on your arm until the iPhone vibrates. You may be asked to do this twice. Follow the instructions on your Limbo app screen.

You’ll then be asked to connect the transmitter.

Step 4: Place and connect transmitter

patches2 (1)

Now your sensor is in place its time to connect to the Transmitter.

Peel the backing off the sticker patch and place transmitter in the middle. Place the transmitter and sticker over the sensor on your arm - it should sit comfortably on the sensor’s curve. The square side of the transmitter can be on either side of the sensor.

Push the sticker down firmly: the whole surface needs to be in contact with your skin.

Now continue to follow the Limbo app on-screen instructions.

Click ‘This is mine’ and allow Bluetooth notifications. Your Limbo app will find the transmitter, will then check your transmitters connection to the sensor, and your ready to go.

5. The sensor takes a while to stabilise

Warm up-1

Don't worry about a high initial reading. Your sensor takes a while to warm up and stabilise.

You sensor will take around an hour to start displaying a Limbo line, which represents your blood glucose level.

While your sensor is activating, your initial reading is likely to start off above the Limbo zone. It will settle initially over a period of approximately one hour but can take up to 24 hours to settle down fully.
